Eight million users can’t be wrong? Or can they? Eight million is reported to be the number of registered users of the most widely known virtual reality game “Second Life”. “Second Life” distinguishes itself from competitors such as “Entropia Universe” and “Multiverse” by the ability to buy and sell “property” in the virtual reality game.

But what precisely is that virtual reality? More particularly, what are the rules that apply? What happens if they are broken? Can they be enforced? Can this virtual property be stolen or damaged? Can crimes be committed in “Second Life”?

This meeting will explain what “Second Life” is and to try to begin to answer these questions.
