Working in SL to earn the Lindens
I think some of you have already come across some possible employment opportunities in SL - re: working as a "hostess" in a bar!
Some of you might be asking why "work" in SL when you have more than enough of it in RL (or at least i do!) But one guy in SL argued that he would never put "real" money into SL when he had skills he could use to earn Lindens (and of course he can convert Lindens into real cash too and make money) He has a lucrative business creating and selling scripted mobile phones (don't even go there with the weirdness of it all!).
It's just a thought, but the other day a friend told me that a Dutch telecommunications company is looking for scripters and builiders in SL; this is a real job opportunity in a virtual world - they even employ a HR Avatar to search for talented personnel in world!
It certainly opens up new avenues of employment for those with the right skills...Hmmmm
